A law firm in Houston, TX is seeking a Tax Attorney with 1+ years of experience to join their team. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in working on IRS tax debt and collection cases, state and IRS audits, and appeals and litigation. This position will involve working directly with two of the tax attorneys with daily contact and interaction. Duties: Handle IRS tax debt and collection cases, state and IRS audits, and appeals and litigation matters. Conduct legal research and analysis on tax laws and regulations. Draft legal documents, including petitions, motions, briefs, and appeals. Represent clients in negotiations with tax authorities and in court proceedings. Provide strategic tax planning advice to clients. Collaborate with other attorneys and staff members to achieve client objectives. Requirements: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Attorney license in good standing. 1+ years of tax experience, with a strong knowledge of tax laws. Commitment to providing exceptional client service. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications: Attorney license in good standing.
