Job Description

Superlanet is seeking Two Level 3 Biomedical Engineer Technicians for our San Diego-based healthcare client. This is a critical role responsible for diagnostic troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of complex biomedical equipment, ensuring patient care is never compromised. You will work independently, managing your own schedule across multiple sites, while serving as a technical expert and mentor for junior technicians.

The position involves supporting a network of 65 locations, ranging from small clinics to larger labs and imaging centers, spanning Chula Vista to Riverside. Each technician will manage approximately 30 sites, providing exceptional customer service and technical expertise to ensure equipment safety and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance and Repair:
  Perform diagnostic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of advanced electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical biomedical equipment, including:
  • Ventilators
  • Anesthesia machines
  • Ultrasound systems
  • Surgical lasers
  • Infusion systems
  • Patient monitoring systems
  • Other microprocessor-based instrumentation
• IT and Cybersecurity Knowledge:
  Utilize general IT and cybersecurity skills to navigate the healthcare technology environment.
• Evaluation and Recommendations:
  Assess new and existing equipment, propose improvements to maintenance programs, and coordinate vendor services for repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Acceptance Testing and Quality Control:
  Conduct acceptance inspections of new biomedical equipment to ensure compliance with manufacturers' specifications and safety standards.
• Team Leadership:
  Act as a lead resource for Level 1 and Level 2 Biomedical Technicians, mentoring them and promoting a collaborative team environment.
• Customer Relationship Management:
  Build and maintain strong relationships with supervisors, managers, and directors across the network of 30+ sites to address their equipment needs efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications

• AS in electronics.
• Equipment manufacturer's training certifications.
• AAMI CBET Certification.
• Network Certifications.
• Work experience in an academic healthcare institution.

Benefits

Salary range based on experience $95,000 - $120,000
